Web articles: category, SEO tab and exporting for the blog

A Web article is a blog article. It's the only kind of publication that isn't created with the Add button: it appears when Kairos creates it in Agent Mode (you need the "Manage company" permission or to be the Owner, and your administrator must have set up the Web destination) or when it's created directly in your Notion database.

Editing the article

Open the publication. In the Post tab you'll see the content in read-only mode; click Edit article to open the full-screen editor, with headings, lists and images. You can keep editing it even if it's already Completed.

Category and URL

Next to the date on the card there are two details you can adjust:

  • Category — a selector with your blog's categories (it only appears if your administrator set it up). It matters so that the article exports correctly.
  • External URL — the article's final link. You can correct it by hand.

The SEO tab

Web publications have an extra tab, SEO, with these fields: SEO title, SEO description, SEO keyword, Excerpt and Slug. Each one is saved when you leave the field. Only the ones your administrator has set up are shown; if there are none, you'll see the message "No SEO property is configured yet" and you'll need to ask them to enable them.

Export for blog

The Export for blog button downloads a ZIP file with the article in Markdown, with its SEO data at the top, and the images. The Research isn't included. The button only appears if the Web destination is set up. To export, the Title, SEO description, Category, Publish date and Slug must be filled in; if one is missing, WorkOS tells you which.

Does it publish by itself?

No. A Web article isn't published by itself on any network. It only syncs with WordPress if your administrator has ticked Sync with WordPress? on that publication and WordPress is connected: in that case Schedule post and Cancel publication appear. Otherwise, Completed means "ready" and you mark it yourself.

Tip: Web articles can be deleted at any time, even when completed. Use the trash icon in the header of the card.
