How to change the language of WorkOS and of the AI

WorkOS has two languages that are easy to mix up: the interface language (menus, buttons, messages) and the language of what the artificial intelligence generates.

Interface language

WorkOS is available in Spanish, English and Polish. It's a personal setting: each team member chooses their own and it doesn't affect anyone else.

1. Click the person icon in the top corner to open your user menu.
2. In the Language selector, choose ES, EN or PL.
3. The page reloads in the new language.

From that same menu you can also Switch client (if you have access to more than one account) and Log out.

The sign-in screen has its own language selector. If you've never chosen one, WorkOS uses your account's default language, if there is one; if not, your browser's language when it's one of the three available; and if that isn't either, Spanish.

What you write yourself in Notion (titles, notes, property names, list values) is never translated: it's shown exactly as you wrote it.

AI generation language

This is the language the AI uses when it writes for you: for example, summaries and translations of emails, the replies it suggests in the Inbox, or the default language when generating posts. It's an account-wide setting and only the Owner can change it.

1. Go to Settings → Default AI generation language.
2. Choose the language (Spanish, English, Portuguese, French, German, Italian or Other) and, if it appears, the variant or region (for example, Spain or Mexico).
3. Click Save.

When you create a post you can choose a different language just for that one.

Tip: you can have the interface in Polish and the AI write your emails in Spanish. They're independent settings.
