I changed something in Notion and WorkOS doesn't show it: what to do

WorkOS works on top of your Notion, but it keeps a copy of the structure of your databases and of your lists so everything loads fast. That's why some changes made directly in Notion take a while to show up.

I created or renamed a property

1. Go to Settings → Notion databases.
2. Click Save databases with the database already chosen: WorkOS reads its structure again.
3. Open that card's configuration block, choose the new property and click Save configuration.

Do it in that order: if you map the property without having re-read the database first, WorkOS may accept it but not use it yet. WorkOS also refreshes that structure on its own from time to time, so sometimes the change shows up without you doing anything.

A relation property doesn't show up

Notion hides a relation if the database it points to isn't shared with WorkOS. Share that database too (or click Reconnect Notion in Integrations and tick it) and repeat the steps above.

A database shows as "not accessible"

You'll see "(not accessible — choose again)" next to the name of a database WorkOS can no longer read: it was deleted, moved to another workspace or is no longer shared. Choose it again on its card (or share the database again) and click Save databases.

I edited records in Notion and I don't see them

The lists in each section are served from an internal copy that's updated every so often, usually within a few minutes and, at most, in about an hour. Reload the list after a while. When you open a record, its content always comes up to date from Notion.

A page deleted or archived in Notion can take longer, up to a day, to disappear from the lists.

Tip: if something still doesn't show up after these steps, check the Pending configuration box on the Notion databases screen: it will tell you what's missing.
