How to sign in to WorkOS with your email and a code

WorkOS has no password to remember: you sign in with your email and a six-digit code that arrives by email.

How to sign in

1. Open WorkOS and type your email in Your email.
2. Click Send code.
3. Find the email with your access code in your inbox.
4. Type the code in Code received by email and click Enter.

The code expires after 10 minutes. If it runs out, go back to the first screen and request a new one.

Remember this device

Under the code field you'll see the Remember this device checkbox ("won't ask for the code here again"), ticked by default. With it ticked, WorkOS won't ask you for the code in that browser for 60 days, and that period is renewed every time you sign in. Untick it if you're using a computer that isn't yours.

If you click Log out in the user menu, WorkOS also forgets that device, so next time it will ask for the code again.

Common problems

• The code doesn't arrive. Check your spam folder. WorkOS always shows the same message ("If the email belongs to a user, we've sent you a code"), so if nothing arrives, your email most likely isn't registered: ask whoever administers your account to check it.
• I typed the wrong email. Click Use another email.
• The code doesn't work. Check that you typed it in full. If you get it wrong several times, WorkOS blocks that code and you'll need to request a new one.

Tip: if your email has accounts in several companies, you sign in to one of them and can switch accounts from the user menu.
