How to connect your Notion to WorkOS

Before choosing which Notion database each section uses, WorkOS needs you to give it access to your Notion. You do it once for the whole account, and every section reuses it.

Steps

Go to Settings → Integrations.
In the Notion block, click Connect Notion.
A new Notion window opens. Sign in if it asks you to and authorize access, choosing the pages and databases you want to share with WorkOS.
When you finish, the window connects on its own and the block shows the name of your workspace with the Connected label.

If your browser blocks the window, allow pop-ups and click the button again. Once connected, the button is called Reconnect Notion.

Which databases WorkOS can see

Only the ones you share when you authorize. If you later create a new database, or one doesn't show up in the Notion databases list, click Reconnect Notion again and tick that database on the Notion screen.

Something similar happens with relations: if a relation property doesn't show up, check that you've also shared the database it points to.

When you can't connect it yourself

You may see this notice instead of the button: "Your customer's Notion connection is managed by a platform administrator." In that case, connecting (and reconnecting) is done by your administrator; get in touch with them.

What comes next

With Notion connected, choose the database for each section in Settings → Notion databases (only the Technical contact sees it).

Tip: if you can't find a database in the list, it's almost always because it wasn't shared when you authorized access.
