Saved conversations, attached files and web search in Kairos

Three Agent Mode features that get more out of Kairos.

Saved conversations

Kairos remembers what you've talked about. At the top of the conversation you see a button with its name and, next to it, the button to start a New conversation.

  • Clicking the name opens the list of your conversations, with a search box (Search your conversations…) and their date.
  • You can rename a conversation (Conversation name) or remove it with Delete conversation, which asks you to confirm.
  • If you close Kairos and come back later, you pick up where you left off.

Inside a conversation you don't need to repeat the context: after "What tasks do I have pending?" you can ask "and which ones are for this week?". If a conversation is very old, Kairos may have lost the memory of what came before and lets you know.

Your conversations are private: nobody else sees them, not even whoever administers the account.

Attaching a file

Next to the microphone or the text box is the Attach a file button. It accepts images (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, HEIC), PDF, Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx) and PowerPoint (.pptx). You attach one file at a time and Kairos reads it to answer your message. For example: "Summarize this PDF and create a task for each pending action".

The file is only used for that query; it isn't saved in your records. In Process Mode the attachment can only be an image or a PDF.

Web search

When your request needs information from outside your account (a news item, a public fact, checking something on a website), Kairos can search the internet. When it does, it tells you, for example with "according to what I found…", so you can tell what comes from the web from what comes from your records.

It doesn't search the internet for what it can already answer with your data. To search, it sends the search terms to an external service. This feature may be turned off on your account; if you ask for something from the internet and it doesn't do it, check with your administrator.

Tip: if you need Kairos to work with one of your documents, it's better to cite the page with @ than to attach a copy. That way it always reads the current version.
