How to give Kairos context: citing pages and Skills
If you just tell Kairos "summarize this", it doesn't know what you mean. Citing pages gives it the exact material to work on.
How to cite a page
- While typing (Agent Mode): type
@in the message box, write part of the title and pick the result. - By voice, and also in Process Mode: click the Cite pages as context (optional) button, next to the microphone, and use its search box.
You can cite notes from the Digital Garden, documents, wiki articles, projects and services, companies and contacts, as well as already completed posts. Each cited page appears as a pill above the message. The maximum is 5 pages per message; if you try to add more, you'll see "You've already cited the maximum of 5 pages".
Kairos reads the content of those pages and uses it as reference information for your request. For example: "Using the note @Meeting with Acme, create the follow-up tasks".
Skills
A Skill is a Wiki article marked as a procedure: "how to do X, step by step". You mark it with the Skill checkbox in the article's Settings tab. It only exists if your administrator has set up that property in the Wiki. In the Wiki list it's highlighted in green.
What's special is how Kairos treats it. Any ordinary text you cite is just information; a Skill, on the other hand, it follows as real instructions. That way you can document once how you prepare a proposal or how you onboard a client, and ask: "Prepare the proposal for Acme following the skill @Sales proposal".
Recommended Skills
When you open the citation search (or type @) without writing anything yet, Kairos suggests the latest Skills under Recommended Skills. As soon as you start typing, the search goes back to showing all results grouped by type. If there are no Skills yet, you'll see a notice saying so.
Tip: write a Skill as a list of numbered steps, with the result you expect at the end. Kairos will follow it more faithfully.
