If a document was shared with you from WorkOS: view and download it
Once you sign in with your code, you see the document with the branding of the company that sent it.
What you'll see
- The document, with its cover, header and footer if the company has prepared them.
- A Document block with its Type, its Date, the Project or service and the Last modified date.
- An Attachments block, if the document comes with files. Each one has a Download button; presentations have Open presentation.
On a phone, that information is behind the information icon, at the top left.
Download the PDF
Click Download PDF, in the header. On a phone it's an icon with a downward arrow. The PDF opens in a new tab, so you don't lose sight of the document.
- The PDF is exactly the same whatever device you download it from: same number of pages and same page breaks.
- If the document is already approved, the approval stamp appears at the end.
- The first time it can take a few seconds. If nothing opens, check that your browser hasn't blocked the new window.
If you have several documents: the Desktop
If you open the portal without going to a specific document, for example from a link you saved, you see the Desktop (Your portal), with shortcuts to what you have available. Go into Documents and you'll see the Your documents list:
- A search box, Search document….
- Tabs by status, starting with All, each with its number of documents.
- Each document with its type and status. Click one to open it.
You only see the documents that have been shared with you. From a document, Home takes you back to the list, and from the list the back arrow (Back to the portal) or the Desktop option in the menu takes you to the Desktop. These screens only exist if the company has turned them on.
Signing out
Click Log out when you're done, especially on a shared computer. If you don't, your access closes on its own after 24 hours.
