How to send a newsletter from Posts

Posts can also send a newsletter to your contact list. It works like the rest of the publications, with a few differences.

What you need

  • A newsletter provider connected in Settings → Integrations: Kit.com, SendFox or Brevo (if you have none, the newsletter is manual: see below). Your administrator sets the rest (list, template…) in the Posts configuration.
  • The "Manage company" permission, or being the account Owner.

If you don't see Newsletter in the Social network field when creating a publication, one of these two things is almost always missing.

Creating it

Click Add → Manual, choose Newsletter and decide what you want to create:

  • What it should be about — you describe the idea and the AI writes the body of the email, a subject line designed to get it opened, and the intro text.
  • The final post — you write it yourself, with a formatting editor (headings, bold, italics, lists and links). If your administrator has set up those fields, you must also fill in the Email subject and the Intro text; the latter is what shows next to the subject in the inbox.

A newsletter doesn't take a media attachment.

Reviewing it

On the card, the Post tab shows exactly what gets sent. The signature and the rest of the template are added automatically. You can edit it and click Save post.

Scheduling the send

With the newsletter in In review, click Schedule post. It moves to Publishing and then to Scheduled, and it's sent on its date. If your administrator set a default time for newsletters, that one is used.

While it's Scheduled, the Post and the Research are read-only. To change them, click Cancel publication: the send is withdrawn and it goes back to In review.

After sending

It moves to Completed. If you use Kit.com, the card shows statistics such as Recipients, Open rate and Click rate. You can also correct the External URL by hand.

No provider: manual newsletter

If you don't have Kit.com, SendFox or Brevo connected, the newsletter is sent by hand from whichever tool you use (for example Substack). Create the post as usual and, in its card, use the Copy subject, Copy preview text and Copy content buttons: the content is copied with its formatting (headings, bold, lists and links), plus Markdown as a fallback. Paste them into your tool, schedule or send it there and, once it is sent, paste its address into External URL: the post moves to Completed. If you need to reopen it, set it back to In review.

Common problems

  • Not published: the send failed. You'll see a comment with the reason; you can try again by moving it to Publishing once more.
