Erase a contact from Brevo and the CRM (right to erasure)
When a person asks for their data to be deleted, you can do it from Integrations → Brevo with the red Erase contact… button. The Owner and anyone with Technical administration permissions can see it.
How it works
- Press Erase contact… and enter the person's email.
- Press Look up. You will see what was found: whether the contact exists in Brevo (and in how many lists), how many CRM records and how many requests they have. Nothing is deleted yet.
- Review the summary and press Erase permanently. If nothing was found, the button does not appear.
What is erased
- Brevo: the contact is deleted from the account. This is irreversible.
- CRM: their Contacts record and, if your account uses interested-party requests, their requests are archived. In Notion they go to the trash and Notion deletes them permanently after 30 days.
What is NOT touched
- Company records with that email (the summary warns you so you can review them by hand).
- Inbox emails, documents and any other record where the person appears.
Good to know
- Brevo is deleted first; if that fails nothing is archived, and you can try again.
- If an item in Notion could not be archived, the final message says so: run the erasure again with the same email.
- If your account is in simulation mode nothing is deleted and you are told so.
- Each erasure is kept in the Team audit log, without the full email.
- Archiving a contact by hand in Notion does not unsubscribe it from Brevo: use this button.
