AI usage: percentage this month

Below Help and support, in the sidebar (and in the mobile user menu), there is an AI usage this month block. On desktop, with the compact menu, it shrinks to the icon, the word AI and a small progress ring with no text (only if there is a usage limit); clicking it opens the detail. Only the account Owner and whoever has the Technical administration permissions flag can see it.

What it shows

The percentage of usage of your account's AI in the current month, against the usage limit assigned to your account. It does not talk about tokens or amounts: only about how much of the available total you have used. The calculation takes into account the model each module uses (Voice, Inbox, Kairos, Agenda…) and tools that are billed per use, such as each Kairos internet search. It is an estimate.

If the usage of some model could not be estimated, a + appears next to the AI label (and next to the percentage on mobile), and the tooltip explains it: actual usage may be somewhat higher. In the detail window, a module without enough data shows as n/a or with a +.

Usage ring and bar

On desktop, with the compact menu, the block is the icon, the word AI and a progress ring; the exact percentage appears on hover and in the detail window. On mobile you see a bar with the percentage written below it. The ring and the bar change colour:

• Teal while you are below 80%.
• Amber from 80%.
• Red if you reach or exceed 100%.

The limit is informational only: exceeding it does not block anything or cut off any service. If your account has no limit assigned, there is no ring or bar: the tooltip says No limit and the detail window only shows the breakdown by module.

The limit is set by a platform administrator; it cannot be configured from your own account.

Seeing the breakdown by module

Click the block to open a window with the month's breakdown: a circular chart with the percentage of usage (if your account has a limit), another with the usage by module, and a table with each module — Publications, Voice, Inbox, Kairos, Agenda, Wiki, Documents…—, its share of the total usage and, if there is a limit, what percentage of that limit each one uses.

What makes it grow the most

Each Kairos conversation can use a different model and reasoning effort (see «Saved conversations, attached files and web search in Kairos»): more powerful models and high effort levels use more.
