How to link documents, notes, meetings and contacts to a project
A project's detail page gathers everything related to it in tabs. The tabs are shown as icons: hover over one to see its name. Each tab only appears if your account has that part set up.
What each tab contains and how to link
- Documents — the linked documents. To add one, open the document and choose the project in its Project or service field.
- Notes — the linked Digital Garden notes. The Link note button is right there. You can also do it from the note itself, in its settings tab.
- Meetings — the linked Agenda meetings. To add one, open the meeting and use Link project or service. These meetings also show up in the project's calendar.
- Contacts — the linked CRM contacts. Click Link contact, search for the contact and choose it. To remove one, use Unlink.
- Received messages and Sent messages — the emails linked to the project (the link is set from the email itself, in Inbox, in the Project or service field). Only emails appear, not WhatsApp or social messages, and only the ones you can already see from Inbox.
- Attachments — the project's files, with a drag-and-drop area and options to rename or remove. You also see the attachments of the project's tasks, marked as "Linked from a task".
The project's tasks
The Task list, Task kanban, Completed tasks and Calendar tabs show this project's tasks and work the same way as in the Tasks section, but limited to the project. If you create a task from here, it is already linked.
Linking from the other side
Notes and contacts can be linked either from the project's tab or from the record itself: the result is the same. Documents, meetings and emails are linked only from the record itself, as explained above.
If a tab doesn't appear
It's not a bug. Each tab depends on whoever administers your account having turned on that part: for example, Contacts needs the CRM and Documents needs the Documents section.
Tip: Unlinking a contact only removes its link to the project; the contact still exists in your CRM.
